Henry Cuellar, D-Tx, presented Starr County law enforcement with $3 million from Operation Stonegarden, a federal program that augments Border Patrol with local law enforcement to help patrol the border. The check was presented in Rio Grande City, Texas, on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, and represents the most ever for this rural border county.
