Border Patrol discovers 37 undocumented migrants in tractor trailers


EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents discovered close to 40 migrants hidden inside tractor-trailers.

Two of the failed smuggling attempts happened at the Falfurrias Checkpoint over the weekend.

During secondary inspections, a border patrol K-9 alerted to the trailer where agents found 28 undocumented migrants hidden, some between pallets of flour.

In Kingsville, at the Javier Vega Junior Checkpoint on Sunday, agents discovered another 9 migrants trying to conceal themselves within crates of produce.

The migrants were from Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexico.

They were all taken into custody.
