HARLINGEN, Texas (KVEO) — Border Patrol agents uncovered a stash house operation Friday morning in a rural South Texas neighborhood.
Border Patrol officials said agents received information about a suspected stash house operating in Rio Grande City, Texas, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release.
As agents approached the residence, several people ran from the house to a nearby brush, the release said.
Starr County Sheriff’s officials and Border Patrol agents made contact with the remaining people inside the house and determined that 11 of them were undocumented immigrants from Mexico, El Salvador and Honduras.
