Mission, Texas (KVEO)—U.S. Border Patrol along with Hidalgo County deputy constables discovered stash house operation in a Mission neighborhood in South Texas.
According to a news release, the incident took place Wednesday afternoon. Rio Grande Valley Sector agents working with the HCCO responded to a home in Mission that was suspected of operating as a human smuggling stash house.

Agents saw a vehicle leave the residence and conducted a vehicle stop. Agents say the vehicle had six occupants.
Agents and deputies then returned to the residence. Agents discovered 16 people inside the home. The individuals were from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala.
