GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala (CNN) — Five planes carrying Guatemalan migrants deported from the U.S. arrived Wednesday at an airbase in Guatemala.

It is the largest number of people received by the Central American country in a single day, according to what CNN has been able to verify.

About three flights arrive daily, but this Wednesday the number increased to five.

CNN hasn’t received an official response on the reason behind the increase in flights.
