COVID-19 cases just south of California skyrocket

TIJUANA (Border Report) — Almost overnight, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases just south of the border took a drastic jump.

Now there are 110 positive cases according to the Secretary of Health, nearly double the number from Friday.

There are 63 in Tijuana immediately south of San Diego, 44 in Mexicali, the state’s capital city. The others are in less populated parts in Baja.

Nine deaths have been reported in the state, six of them in Tijuana.
